Folks...I was looking at pictures from my niece's birthday this weekend and I came across a picture of me...no head, a little grainy...but it was me. And it TOOK my breath away. I have to be honest. I don't see myself like this at all. Generally, all I can see are the negatives...and while I am not yet a "thin" woman (still obese....8 lbs to go to overweight!!!!), I am just absolutely blown away that that normal looking person in the second picture is ME...MEEEEEEE!!!! Every time I look at this, which has been quite often tonight (narcissist) my eyes fill up with tears. I am just so overwhelmed with this change in my body...and my spirit and my self esteem etc.... Thank you so very much for your support through this...I quite literally would not be as successful without your support. I struggled for a few months, but am back on board (have lost the majority of the 15 I packed on while recuperating from a different surgery in July!!!) As an FYI...I am 1 year 4months post op... The first picture was taken in April 07...3 months before my surgery! THAT NORMAL LOOKING WOMAN IS ME!!!!!! Holy crap! Rain

Hey folks, It's been a very long time since I posted. I've fallen back into old patterns and am in a funk. Here are my excuses: 1. I HATE the new format of this board. HATE IT...I click on Forums to change it back to the old way, but sometimes I forget and the other format just totally drives me nuts! 2. I was too tight---could barely eat solids for three months...bad plan..got a slight unfill and have been porking on everything I oculdn't have for three months. 3. Had surgery in July...Couldn't exercise or lift my kids and needed to totally chill for 6 weeks...not moving quickly becomes a HABIT... 4. Totally eating too much... So there are the excuses...now I just need to stop pigging out...Have a fill scheduled...Oldest is back at preschool...can get back out with the twins ... MUST DO THIS>>>> Any words of encouragement??? Good to be back... Rainer

Hi all, Can I share a few new pictures? I am really struggling...was too tight and got a slight unfill and then had surgery....so I've gained just about 10 lbs in a little over a month. now, I do have ToM, but it's still not good. I figure if I put these pics out there, it may motivate me to put down the freaking ice cream... (What's with me and ice cream???) These are from a friend's wedding last weekend. I actually felt better about myself at her wedding than I did at my OWN wedding. I felt beautiful...I never ever ever feel beautiful...but I did last week. As always I'm going to put my awful start photo... Hey---sorry to write a book..feeling a little sad and out of control..must get back on track... Rain

I have three children who are under the age of 4 and I get kicked, hit, stepped on, etc constantly... I'm sure you are fine, but you should certainly call your dr. to make sure! Best of luck. Rain

Since we moved (June 7th) and since I removed some of the Fluid out of my band (I was so tight I wasn't able to eat anything but liquids), I've been eating like a total pig and have gained 10lbs. I'm dealing with some post surgery (had TVT placed on Monday) issues, so I'm hoping it's not actually 10...but it's still there and I'm still stuffing my gob. It's weird, it's like I do GREAT all day and then, at night, I'm Jabba the Hut...Ugggh! So, I figured for 10lbs, I have to have to have to change my ticker...and seeing the BMI move back closer to morbid obesity, I am hopefully disgusted enough in myself to get back on it. I know you all don't need to know this, but I'm sure some people will read it and then I'll feel like I'll have to get back on it...I've got a lot of supporters to make proud! and myself Thanks for letting me spit it out- Rain

I had NO problem getting on and off the toilet or wiping myself. I was a 28/30-- hope this is not a problem for you either! Rain
