Megan I can just hear the glee in your voice (in your fingers?)! I'm so happy for you!! :):D :D

I went through that not-believing-he's-for-real thing when I first started dating my DH. Being in a lousy relationship really does a number on us, doesn't it? But with time and his attention you'll believe you deserve it, and that's the road to a good solid relationship. Yaaahooo!!!! :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana

Thanks everyone. What a great place to share good news.

...and yes Alexandra- the bad guys leave an impression. Hopefully time will help me figure all of this out.

Lisa!

No, I haven't named it yet...any more suggestions?

Btw- things are fantastic in that arena. Let's just say he isn't at all selfish. :-)

Megan, I've been dying to use that line that Carrie uses in Sex in the City, where she says all sexy and long & drawn out, "Helllooooo, Luvverrrrr." You should try that on him.

Mr. Slippery? Kramer? Rafael? Mr. Potato Head?

I just discovered Sex and the City (ok, I was living under a rock) and I LOVE it. I like to watch an episode or two every night before I go to bed. I should try that on him...he would think it was funny. He is very fun..if you know what I mean.

Kathy- I like Mr. Ripley the best so far. And your George needs a capital G, huh :-)

Happy Easter everyone!

HE HAS MONO!

The poor guy is so sick..he has been sleeping for twenty hours a day and has to go to the doctor today to have more blood drawn and if his white blood count isn't up today they'll hook him up to some IV's.

I've been kind of a wreck this past weekend...I guess I have a lot more baggage than I thought. Even though I intellectually know that he's really sick, I've felt like he was pulling away and I got so scared. I'm better now...nothing a night out on the town with one of my friends and a good therapy session can't cure. I am such an all or nothing, black and white person that I can jump to concusions really easily. My mind is like a crazy monkey jumping around. I can be such a control freak that I try to predict the future so I can get out quick if it looks like I'm going to get hurt.

I had two snickers candy bars yesterday. I wonder if I'm eating for emotional reasons? :-)

I have decided I just need to get busy doing other things and give him a chance to get better and to try to just chill the hell out.

Easier said than done, but I'm working on it and staying out of the candy aisles at the grocery store.

Megan

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
