March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Recommended Posts

So today I was off work, but that didn't mean I just stayed home. I did lots and stayed busy.

I have a call in to the Dr. I have this weird pulling below my port about 3-6". I'm hoping it's nothing and especially not an adhesion but I have no control over that. Anyone else have this?

I just ordered some Unjury , only one sample of each . I'm hoping I like them . Can't write anymore. The family is cooking ( steak, french fries and vegies) so I'm going for a walk.

I'm right there with you, my friend. I am hoping that walking and Gas-X will eventually help.

Welcome to all our new bandsters! Great to have you with us!

LOL Glad to see I am not alone. I just got back from going to the store and got some liquid Gas X. Took one. Not too much relief. Oh well. Some day I hope.

I tried the spaghetti sauce with ricotta cheese. I added a pinch of shredded italian cheeses YUM! Definately glad to find something different.

It got me to thinking about other things. So I grabbed a can of fat free refried Beans, enchilada sauce, light sour cream and some shredded cheese and going to make some sort of "soup" out of that. Don't know if it will taste good but we will see. Will keep ya posted.

Yeah I get bored pretty easily with eating the same thing and with being on 5 weeks of full liquids, I am trying to come up with different ideas.

thid I know, because I had to ask someone how to do it.

first open up you edit signature page, then go to a thread and find a shrinking shamrock(use another log on page. both thread and edit page need to be open.. right click on the shamrock, in drop down look for copy, click, go to edit page and enter where you want on your page.

hope this helps..good luck,

congrats on your banding

I have the same thing sometimes it really hurts anyway I asked the Dr. about it yesterday when he took my staples out (which I thought was it was ) he said taking the staples will help alittle and it will go away soon but he never told me what was causing it. When you find out please let me know.

That sounds wonderful. Please let us know how it turns out. I've been really considering those refried Beans from Taco Hell but I know that they are just saturated with fat. A homemade, healthier version sounds like the better option.

Oh! I'm glad you enjoyed the Lasagne Soup idea! I added a bit of shredded cheese to mine as well. I let it melt into liquid goodness before I ate it. Was very good! I think I'll add a bit more Italian seasons that next time.

I read that there is a really good Campbell's Select Tomato Soup with parmesan but I've not been able to find it. When I do, I'll probably add ricotta to that and see how it compares.

Greetings All:

Too funny, I have fat free refried Beans in the cabinet for post-surgery eating. I have to keep your suggestions in mind to spice it up a bit!

Got to tell ya all.... I went to the support group meeting and no support group due to someone's family emergency. BUT, they still weighed me in. That is twice in one day. I didn't know I was going to be weighed in and had chugged about 32 oz of Water. My weight was 2 pounds higher than it was at 11 am at the doctor's office.

OK, any other 3/25 bandsters excited? I'm having a hard time sleeping and am really getting excited. I thought time would DRAG, but it isn't. I have one last marathon pre-op visit next tuesday, which includes another meeting with the dietician and coordinator and then I am done.

I asked the doctor today if I could take a dexatrim on my 2 days of Clear Liquids. He said no, bummer! Ah well, I guess I will just chug down all the liquids I can handle and stay busy. (I really am not to thrilled that the first day of Clear Liquids is Easter!) But, it is all worth it.

I'm in line waiting to get my seat on the roller coaster. This better be the thrill of a lifetime cuz I've been waiting for a long time.

I can remember being on a roller coaster and being scared for it to start. And thought about getting off at the last minute but I never did get off I just kept telling myself all these other people have been on it and no one has been hurt so I can do it too. So I held on tight and went for the ride. Back then I was too embarrassed to tell my friends how scared i was. But the older I get I voice my feelings more.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
