Funny / Bad Foot Nightmare

Recommended Posts

Last night I dreamt I woke up and mindlessly went to the kitchen and had a plate of white rice with ketchup. Wolfed it all down before I remembered I'm 13 days post-op still in the puree phase. I panicked having no idea if I should try to throw it up, is it going to make my stomach explode ... No idea what to do. And it was the 4th of July so I couldn't call anyone. When I woke up and realized it was a dream, I was very relieved and had a good laugh.

Glad it was just a dream. Guess you went to sleep a little anxious about your post surgery restrictions. I was a little worried too because I do eat sometimes without thinking at night so I put a towel through the handles on the fridge to remind me. I do this on days I have blood work or surgery and need to fast as well. Just something out of place to get your attention so hopefully you take a second to remember why it’s there.

That's pretty brilliant! Only one time have I mindlessly opened the fridge to see what's there, then realized NOPE! But I did go to a BBQ yesterday surrounded by some amazing looking food. I even made a great looking Mac and cheese that I couldn't taste. So that probably played a part. 😂😂😂

Firstly congrats on getting into the 3's. You are doing amazing. My husband gave up smoking 12 years ago. He regularly smokes in his dreams, he says he enjoys every cigarette. sleep eating and smoking have to be super healthy .

That sounds wonderful! I'm going to try to will myself to dream about a deep dish pizza tonight. That would make me so happy.

And thank you!

In the first few months after surgery, I had very frequent dreams that I was binging on all kinds of unhealthy, high-calorie food (usually sweets). In my dream, I knew that what I was doing was wrong but I continued eating--and then I felt guilty afterwards. I would wake up relieved that I hadn't actually cheated.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
