I regret that I can't eat and drink together, which was a lifelong habit, but that's about it.

Actually down the track if you choose too you can eat and drink at the same time. It's just not advisable.

Zero regrets! Had VSG 2/5/2021. Highest weight was 363. Current weight 185. No more blood pressure meds, no more sleep apnea. I feel in control of my life and have a process to help manage my food behaviors for life. I still log my food every day and follow the guidance of my surgeon and nutritionist. Surgery allowed me to make long term behavior changes.

No regrets yet. But if I don't start losing soon. I can see me regretting it.

After three years, still no regrets. Sure it can be a bit of a struggle at first. Recovery, the staged return to eating, a fussy tummy, reassessing & changing how & what you eat, etc. aren’t easy. That lasts a couple of months or so which is nothing when you consider all the benefits & the rest of your life. To me, it was all very worth it.

I had VSG on 5/20/22, so about 9 days out. I’m in the figuring it out phase and return to work this week. But even with all that - no regrets yet. With pre and post-op, I will have lost 30 lbs in May. HW 266 (May 1), SW 248 (May 20), CW 236 (May 29).

None what so ever. And like many others mentioned, only regret is not getting it done sooner.

It's like the surgery has blew a new life within. It doesn't fix my life completely but there's a new ray of hope that life just may turn out worth living.

NONE! Apart from marrying my husband it is the best decision I ever made. I am officially a healthy weight as of last Sunday (-58.5 kg/-129 lbs total weight loss right now) at 9 months po and I could not be happier about it 💕

I'm only 4 days post op and I've regretted it every second since waking up after the op. The pain is horrendous and support has been none existing... fingers crossed I'll feel different soon

You will feel better soon. you shouldn't be in a lot of pain though have you spoken to your surgeon about it ? Regret is common the early stages I had very intense regret for a few months but it got less and less eventually and now at 10 months out I have no regrets.

No regrets. Over 3 months post op. Lost a lot ot weight and have the beat relationship with food I've ever had in my entire life. I don't miss overeating. All I can remember was how sick and stuffed I felt all the time in the past. That's no longer my reality. I feel so thankful and blessed to be on this journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
