PCOS and vsg pre op diet

Recommended Posts

My VSG is in 11 days 05-31 and I am on the pre op diet. On the 1st of May I started dieting in general to prepare for the pre op. I only lost 2 lbs. Now I'm on day 6 pre op diet and haven't lost any weight. I do have PCOS and didn't know if that's why or what I'm doing wrong.

For pre op I can have 2 Protein Shakes a day and 1 meal of 4oz Protein and 1/2 cup non starchy veges I've been super strict and don't get why I haven't lost weight this month so far. Is this the same for others with PCOS or even non PCOS people??

as long as you're following the plan, I wouldn't worry about it. There could be a number of factors affecting your weight loss (hormones? Constipation? Water retention?). The goal of this pre-op diet is to shrink your liver, so you're good..

I have heard of some people that didn’t lose weight on the pre op. As said above as long as you are following the plan you will be fine. The main goal is to shrink the liver not to lose weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
