Nurseamy's tummy tuck/Lipo/Mastopexy

Amy, I've been having my own pity party. Somehow, the flatlands don't seem to be enough for all the pain, boredom and helplessness I've been feeling. Patience is not my strong suit! Have a great vacation.

C- I'm finally able to get up and down without any help. I don't feel too sore really, not sure why I feel as tired as I do. Wish I could go back to work part time, but it's difficult to look professional with 5 drains hanging all over you! Just have to remind myself that I asked for this and it will be good. Right!?

i was literally climbing the walls here, my half day was kinda boring as well, but at least i got to see people :blushing:

glad you are up and about more. yesterday was the first day i didnt take a nap, today i took one when i got home ... its a grueling process this surgery ... recovery is going to take awhile. we'll make it.

Amy you are GORGEOUS! I am so proud of your whole journey, and then being brave enough to share!

Although I AM going to pick a bone with you about taking a picture of bending over with your skin....great, I never thought to look at my belly like that...and of course I did....and of course I was horrified...OH GOD I WANT PS!!

Hi, I had my hip Lipo, Tummy Tuck & breast lift done on wednesday! I'm still pretty immobile, it hurts getting up so I'm staying down as much as possible. It's hard to tell what everything looks like under the dressings & I'm a little swollen right now, but I can't wait to see my new boobs & flat tummy! Nurseamy you look fabulous! How long was it before you were walking properly?

IceCream: Congratulations! You're going to feel 100% better in 2-3 days. I am able to get up and down now quite easily. Why don't you join the Feb/March plastics thread? I'm 10 days out now and I'm walking quite upright and without pain. Just rest and enjoy the fact that you can. Speedy recovery!

Amy, GREAT pics! You are looking fantastic. I went to Coastal last Thursday and got some Juvederm injections. I can't afford a neck lift or Tummy Tuck right now, but the marrionette (sp?) lines and hollows under my eyes were really bugging me (they also happened to be having a "spring special" Thursday and Friday when I just stopped in!). I'm fairly bruised now, but I think when that goes away I will be very satisfied. They said it would be about 30 days before everything "settles".

Amy: Looking great! I'm suppose to go to Puerto Rico with my DH in 3 weeks. I was wondering about the compression garment and a bathing suit, but I guess you just don't worry about it?! Did you have to travel far? I still hurt when bouncing in a car. Did the travel make you swell more?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
