When was your last fill and how many fills have you had? It really sounds like you haven't found your sweet spot. You should try and get in as soon as possible. I understand how frustrated you must be. I haven't lost any for almost 2 weeks and that alone is driving me crazy. I don't know how I could handle it if I were in your shoes. Like I said, you need to call the doctor and see if they won't fit you in now, before the holidays.

Good luck.

What you are experiencing is normal when you don't have proper restriction. Bump your fill up if you can. Keep going back until you can only consume a small amount of food, have not as much hunger and are losing 1-2 lbs per week. It took me 5 fills and 6 months to get there. Good luck.

First thing you need to do is to really stop and think if you are honestly hungry or if you just want to eat. If you are hungry your stomach will almost hurt. With head hunger that chocolate cake is calling your name. The band won't do a darn thing for head hunger, just stomach.

You also need to realize that with a band we aren't looking for full. We are looking for satisfied. Every couple of bites stop and ask yourself if you are really hungry or if you just like doing what you are doing, eating. Normal size people do not eat until they are so full they feel like they'll pop. That's an uncomfortable feeling. There is no reason to eat beyond the satisfied stage. That is merely a bad habit that we all need to break.

Go to the grocery store and buy a small peach. At every meal put that peach on your plate. When you serve yourself your meal keep in mind that your pouch is about the same size as a small peach so there is little value in piling food on your plate.

You need to push to get your fill done before a full month has gone by. I can see having you wait for a full two weeks between fills but if you don't have any difference in restriction after your last fill then it needs to be adjusted again. Your doc made a tidy sum on your surgery. It's time to motivate him and get to your sweet spot.

Are you getting enough Protein? I'm 3 months out and yet to have a fill (still some restrictions from surgery) BUT when I get that hunger, I get a Protein Drink, either Protein Water or a Protein shake....it definitely helps for me.

Plus, are you confusing stomach noises for hunger noises? Even though I'm not hungry, my stomach sounds like a meat grinder ! It's crazy, but I just ignore it....

Good luck and find out what's right for you.

try dividing your meals into 5-6 small meals a day and make sure to eat Protein at each meal. This will get you over the hump until you can get another fill and it will also speed up your metabolism.

Fill sounds right here...but also, how many calories are you consuming?

Also, just some perspective...32 pounds in five months. You can't compare your WL to anybody elses. For me...any loss is better than what I've done in the past. It is like fingernails down a chalkboard when I read someone saying...I only.....

I think 32 pounds is great...and you can do more. Just keep after it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
