That depends a lot on each person, overweight...I think it's better not to get obessed with the weight loss and focus on following your surgery plan. I f you do that I'm sure that you'll succeed 👍

With my surgery coming up on the 18th, I'm thinking about logistics. I live 2 hours from the surgery spot. Anyone know how long you need to wait until you drive that far?

Hi everyone
I am having my surgery on the 13th January. Already started the “Optifast” liquid diet, good way to get used to the reduced meals

Excited for you! Can't wait to hear how it goes

On Jan 3rd I had my sleeve and so happy that everything was good. Less pain than I thought but take into account that every person is different. Now, already at home, starting my first week diet post op.

Good luck everyone!

After you early Jan patients get your stomachs transformed (congratulations!!!!) And are feeling strong enough, I'd love to hear your recommendations for what I should have on hand for my first week at home.

Hello! Thought I would start out this group as I have a surgery date for Jan 4, 2022!! I'm so excited and a bit anxious for the pre-op diet - I will be starting it while on vacation - but what a great way to say Hello to the New Year!!

How are you doing? Pls update us. I had mine on Nov 1. Still cant make my protein/water goals and still hurts to eat. Still on puree and some soft foods. But im loving it! Congrats!

Hello! Unfortunately, my surgery has been cancelled until further notice (due to COVID). I have been reading and following the Pound of Cure book/eating plan; however, and I feel really great as a result of that. So I'm doing my part to lose what I can while I wait.

I wish I was on your level right now - but I'll get there, soon enough!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
