stomach pain 2 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I had gastric sleeve on 23 September 2021. I have had stomach pain all day. It is a pretty sharp cramp. Called my doctor's office and they said just take the mylanta and famotadine and see if it settles. I had Beans last night, mashed in the food processor. could this be just bad gas pain? Mind you, I had plenty of gas last night from the beans, does this mean no more beans for me? that my stomach is rejecting this particular food. I have had canned refried beans and no pain, but yesterday I made a pot myself and put them in the food processor.

It could be gas pain, or it could be your nerves that were cut regenerating.

Also, I had MASSIVE pain from Beans once I was allowed whole ones, even chewed to a paste. Puréed with some of the bean broth? No problem. But I mean puréed puréed, not just chopped up. I felt every one of those freaking beans move the entire way through my digestive tract. It was horrifying.

Yah... I actually added the bean broth (I make my own Beans, not canned) to make it more liquidous, like I would for enfrijoladas if I could eat tortillas. Were these canned beans? Somewhere on this site (recently!) I posted a recipe for "not-refried" beans that start from dry.

Not necessarily. food that you don't tolerate now may be tolerable in a few months (o longer).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
