My surgery date is Dec 16 Nervous and Excited!!!

Mine was the 15th. How are you feeling?

My surgery was December 15 and everything went well. But now if I eat or drink anything even tiny tiny portions I feel this awful sensation in my chest between my breast and at my sternum. It feels like something is squeezing me. This also happens randomly without eating or drinking. I’m in the full liquid stage and doc said I could try soft things like eggs.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Hey girl I just had mine on the 22nd

Me too. How are you doing? Day 3 was the worse.

My surgery is tomorrow afternoon. Please send good karma my way. The surgeon said it was going to be more challenging because of previous colon surgeries. I’m super excited and nervous at the same time. I hope to get off some of my meds, get rid of some pulmonary, blood pressure and back problems. I have struggled my whole life with my weight.

I have really gotten a lot of good advise from this site. Thanks to everyone who is on here. At least I’m not alone in this adventure. ??♥️♥️

My surgery is today, I am super nervous because this is my first real surgery. I’m excited for what’s to come and ready for this new life! Can’t wait to get this done, been chasing after this day for 8 months now. Wish me luck!

Good luck to you. Please keep up updated.

Hi everyone, I had my surgery December 10, 2021 here in Fresno Ca by Dr HIga.

Post op day 5 and today was a better day so far than all the days before! I am on clears still but can hold 3 ounces at a time sipping sipping. I hit my 64 ounce goal easily today and I can’t tell you how much better I feel adding salt free low fat chicken broth in today. I feel weak easily and just walking zaps my energy. Hope everyone is doing great!

I'm the same. However, I cannot drink that chicken broth, taste gross to me. I feel like I'm starving to death. I get my protein, walking and 64 oz. in each day. Glad you're doing good.

Well they had to postpone my surgery due to Covid causing staff shortages and I am kind of bummed about it. Now my date is January 10th but that’s not a for sure date yet.
