    Regretting the surgery

Everyone feels like this right after surgery. You won't regret it. Hang in there.

    How much can you eat?

10 months post op. I eat anything I want at very small amounts. I didn't eat a huge amount before. After 6 weeks I wasn't on any restrictions. I don't eat junk food or processed foods very much never did. Good luck to you.
  3. I was sleeved 12/22/2021. Since starting weight I've only lost 45 lbs. I haven't lost weight in 3 months. I get about 800-1000 calories per day, go to the gym and walk every day. I will say even though I haven't lost weight in 3 months, I feel my clothes are fitting better and I'm buying smaller sizes. I'm a little frustrated as well. I really don't know what the answer is. I just keep doing what I'm supposed to do and hope evidentially I will start loosing again. Good luck to you.

    How fast?

I was sleeved 12/22/2021. I haven't lost in 3 months. I take in about 800-1000 per day and go to the gym. I think it happens to everyone. I need to lose at least 50 more lbs. I think a lot of it is my age as I'm older than most on here. And yes, every one is different. You've done great! 85 lbs. is a lot of weight to lose. Good luck and keep hanging in there.
  5. I had the sleeve done 12/22/2021. I've only lost 42 lbs. However, I'm 61 and I think my age has a lot to do with it. I haven't lost anything for about 2 months. Yes very frustrating. My blood pressure is down and I feel really good. One weird thing is that even though I haven't lost weight in 2 months, my clothes are getting bigger and I've gone down a size. I did start back to my gym, I agree, I think you need to see a dietician. Good luck to you.
  6. Congratulations! I'm 8 months out and have only lost 41 lbs. I'm 61. You are doing great! My doctor cleared me on eating everything at 6 weeks out. It's so weird that so many doctor's have such different aftercare directions. I continue to try and eat about 800-1000 calories a day. I have never "dumped" even after eating sweets. I was losing about 5 lbs per month but I've been on a stall for 2 months now. A little frustrating.
  7. I got my surgery date for the sleeve for December 22, 2021 in Sebastian, Florida. Let's get through the pre stuff together.

    Sleeve Post-Op Calorie Intake

Every doctor is different. I started soft foods at week 4. At week 6 I was told I could eat anything except fresh carrots and crunchy veggies. I try and stay at around 800-1000 calories a day. I have a slow metabolism and I'm older so I lose slower than some people. Also make sure you get your protein in. Good luck to you.

    Food aps track food diet

  10. Hey there!! I was also sleeved December 22, 2021. I’ve been loosing very slowly but that’s ok. I’ve lost 41 lbs. about 50 more to go. My blood pressure is a lot lower which makes me happy. My taste buds have changed a little. I didn’t eat much fast food but when I do now I am disappointed in the taste. Don’t care for potato chips anymore or French fries, I know, weird. I’m still trying to adjust my food intake and getting enough water. I drink a lot of those hydration packets. I feel so much better and the surgery was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I wished I would have done it years ago. It was nice hearing from you.

    Psych Eval Tomorrow - Nervous

Mine was weird. She asked me about 20 questions which took about 10 minutes and that was it. I don't know whether to be happy or to complain about it. Everything is good with me, 7 month post op. So I'm leaving that alone. Ha. Good luck!

Best thing I ever did for myself. Loving life again.

    Worried about getting surgery

I had the sleeve done 12/2021. I was scare about GERD as well. My doctor said I had a small hernia and I've had GERD for over 30 years. However, it seems that since my surgery I don't have it as bad. I take Nexium once or twice a week and that seems to help me. I also take a good probiotic. Hope this helps a little. Good luck.
  14. Sleeved 12/22/2021. Never had dumping. At 6 weeks post op my doctor said I'm healed and could eat and drink anything but hard veggies, like raw carrots, etc... for 2 months after my 6 weeks. I drank coffee with creamer 2 weeks after surgery. Never had a problem.

Hydration and vitamin bar ? 🤔

I would ask the IV store. Mine helped me a lot and suggested I get the big hydration bag. I started the IV 1 or 2 weeks after surgery. I also did acupuncture for healing.

Hydration and vitamin bar ? 🤔

Sleeved on 12/22/2021. I've done several IV's since my surgery. Love them but the place near me is way more expensive than yours and I can't afford to do them as much as I would like. I wish I had one of your places where I live. I always get the "Myers" with add on glutathione. It's your Triple Immunity RX.
  18. I had my surgery Dec. 22, 2021. I eat and drink anything I want and I love it. I just eat and drink small amounts. I've always been, (for the most part) a healthy eater. I don't eat a lot of junk food or sodas. I do drink coffee and wine but a lot less than I used to. I'm so happy I got this surgery. I just wish I would have done it a long time ago. Good luck to you.

Over night stay at hospital. Yay or nay

I was sleeved morning of December 22, 2021. I was supposed to say 2 nights and only stayed for 1. I never had any pain and was walking a lot. My IV monitor kept going off and I couldn't sleep. My doctor said I could leave next next day.
  20. I had my surgery in December 2021. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I do feel hungry about every 4 hours. I eat what I want, just a lot less of it. I feel content and I'm never starving myself anymore. When we go out to dinner, I order what I want and take most of it home with me. It only took me about 1-2 month after surgery to eat normal foods or mostly normal, (not liquid). I feel very fortunate to have gone through this and better myself. Good luck at whatever you chose.
  21. My surgery twin. I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! You have done so well!
  22. How are all of the December 2021 surgeries doing? It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. Wish I would have done this a long time ago. I've lost 32 lbs. It's still coming off slowly but again, that's ok.

    Heartburnnnnnnnnn

Hello! Yes, it happened to me a couple weeks after sleeve surgery but it has stopped. I do take Nexium every other day or so. Hope this helps.
