Lost 19 pounds since surgery. Slow going.

I wasn’t prepared for how my body was gonna feel first two weeks post op when you are completely malnourished.(I had very strict diet) I never expected to feel so bad…wiped out…drained..no tolerance for daily activity.

I was sleeved on June 22nd. Lost 10 lbs 1 st post op week then 0 since.

I am 13 days post op. 10 lbs since day of surgery. Been stalled last 4 days. I did lose 7 lbs the week before surgery. Tomorrow I start soft foods. I did go ahead and try some refried been mash tonight and I can only eat maybe 1 oz without vomiting back up into my mouth. Iv been struggling with getting in liquids and liquid proteins due to restriction. Can’t imagine eating enough to get protein in. This is way more difficult to manage nutritionally then I ever expected

What’s everyone’s weight loss been ?? Is it what you expected. Yes or No ?

Yes. This is the programs guidelines. I can’t even drink clear protein drinks.

No. Next week I am allowed to add in 1 protein drink per day along with my continued clear liquid. I may breakdown a sip a muscle milk today. I feel pretty crappy

I was 6/22 and I am with ya.

5 days post op. I am on clear liquids only until June 30th. No sugar free popsicles or anything. Only room temp. ,clear decaf; sugar free clear liquids. I swear some of my stomach pain is my stomach growling. I am tired, weak and feel like I need 1 protein drink !. In the hospital 24 hours after surgery I was allowed 5 sips. the next day 5 sips thats it ! no ice chips NOTHING. I think my stomach is eating itself. my goal is to get up to 40 oz of clear liquids by June 30th. I feel so shitty I doubt thats gonna happen. Anyone else this strict ??? I was below qualifying for surgery on day of surgery due to preop diet. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Just ranting

??‍♀️ Came home yesterday. Very uncomfortable gas. Constant belching which is painful

Acopas ….. how are you feeling ? Today I was allowed 5 sips. Not drinks 5 sips. Tomorrow 5 sips for the day as well. It felt like pressure going down when I swallowed them I got a little nauseous. It passed after a few min. Not sure how going home tomorrow is gonna go. Going from5 sips all day to trying to get in 64 Oz of water !

It went well. Terrible night. Gas pains are horrendous. Feels like my back is breaking and I’m having a heart attack ! And no matter what they give me I’m nauseated. Never had an ice cup or anything yet. My mouth is dry and my breath probably smells like my mouth taste. But. It’s over and only gets better from here. I guess …… how did you day go ??

I have no idea who you are… but when I woke up this morning I thought about you and how we were experiencing the same situation hundreds of miles apart. Makes me feel less alone… so weirdly enough. Lol. I will be thinking about you today
