I had my sleeve on May 17th. In January, I weighed 385. I started preparing and had my first bariatric meeting with the surgeon around mid March. My weight when I started my 2 weeks of shakes was 362 and my surgery weight was 342. I track almost everything I eat and I am setting at 256 right now. Kinda tough to track around the Holiday, but feel like I have a new lease on life. I danced for almost 3 straight hours on Nov 27th at my daughter’s wedding! Your stomach will be tiny which will help you while you get/keep your mind right. Do NOT cheat! Have and keep the faith in the process! If you do that you will be extremely happy and able to get back to an active lifestyle!!! :-)
Today is my 14th day postop. I feel exhausted and honestly want to break down in tears. I don’t know if being emotional comes with the surgery but I feel like giving up. I can’t get the fluids I need in and I return to work tomorrow. I feel like I can barely get up and shower. Anyone else have energy/mood changes?

Check with the anesthesiologist. I don’t think I would want anything extra in my mouth. I woke up when they were removing the tube and it was a bad experience. I don’t think it happens that often though, so don’t be afraid.

I did and had to have them removed. Such a busy day between that and getting the Covid test for surgery Weds!!!!

I was feeling like this around day 4 or 5, but felt much better after I started my vitamins and consistently started hitting my protein goals. Are you certain you aren’t dehydrated? I would at least call your doctor’s office to touch base. Prayers for you tomorrow.

I had mines on the 14th as well. I also had a hard time with the pain medication but my dr prescribed new ones that were more effective. I have absolutely no appetite either and I am also still feeling really nauseous. My dr says it’s part of the process…I’m getting so discouraged though bc I can’t get my fluids in and I can’t get my Protein in.

Don't get discouraged. With time it will get better. I am finally feeling better after. I still have a hard time getting my protein in

Me! Surgery was December 16th! I’m ready for my new journey, week 1 has been a little hard but looking ahead and staying positive ?

I just did mine at Sebastian last week. Biggest advice...walk walk walk right after. That gas pain caught me by surprise! Message me if you need anything!

Thanks for the advice. Who was your surgeon? Mine is Dr. Domkowski. I go in tomorrow at 8:30. A little scared.

Heading to the hospital at 5 AM tomorrow for my Sleeve - a bit nervous the preop nurse said since I am allergic to all pain meds they aren’t sure what they will give me. Bringing liquid Tylenol just to be safe! Here we go December surgery family!
