Going back on Liquids

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

Okay for one I want to start off by saying that I think this GALS ROOM was an amazing idea. I love this so much, but I wanted to reach out and ask Did anyone have to, or just go back and start the liquid diet over again because you felt you got more Protein that way??

I lot of what I eat is close to vegetarian and I'll admit, sometimes I add up all my protien grams and say screw it....and drink a protien drink just to not stress about it.

I would never go back to an all liquid diet. I could never sustain it for more than a day or two. Plus I don't want to be thrown back into "diet mentality" again, and I'm afraid that would do it (at least for me).

I'm also mostly vegetarian (I eat meat maybe once a week tops). I eat a lot of Beans and dairy products, though, so I don't have trouble meeting my Protein goals, but I usually have a Protein Shake as my mid-morning snack just so I don't obsess about protein all day. I know if I have that shake, I'll always meet my goals. Plus, I'm one of those odd birds who actually LIKES protein shakes!

I’m almost 4 yrs out and instead of going back to shakes I add Protein Powder to foods to boost the Protein amount. If I bake a cake etc I always add protein powder to it. If I don’t want to cook l will eat a Greek yogurt.
So this far out all of my protein can come from food.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
