Postop puréed diet ideas?

Recommended Posts

I’m post op 17 days from my bypass and am starting my puréed diet..Im finding it very hard to eat any of the foods listed..they do state to eat three meals a day which consist of 2-3 oz of Protein a day..and 1/4 cup puréed fruit. This is in addition to
The daily Water and milk products I’ve already been consuming the first two weeks. I take 2 bites and I feel full..I’m scared to eat to much here..and stretch my stomach...how have others been handling this phase of their diets?

So I am only at Day 10 and don't start puree until next week but my dietician gave me a list of bariatric approved canned Soups and I was going to throw them in the blender. That way you get Protein and veggies etc and pureed.

My nutritionist suggested pureed chili. So I got a can of Dennison's Turkey Chili w Beans and blendedit up. Also pureed cauliflower with some salt and prp. Tastes like runny mashed potatoes.

I’ve heard people buy the baby food and for extra Protein, mix unflavored Protein Powder in it.

pureed vegetables (puree ¼ cup vegetable with Water or broth), unsweetened applesauce, refried Beans

I see refried Beans mentioned a lot when people are discussing the pureed stage. My crass questions is, don't we have bad enough gas..? :D

I mean if you guys say it's not so bad I'll grab some for post op, but ... you know what I mean.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
