Stopped losing weight.

Well done on your weight loss so far. Going to need a lot more information than you've given so as to receive relevant responses.

It would help if you completed your profile: height, weight etc. Also how long as your weight stopped? What are you eating (including fluids with calories) and what volumes. How much Fluid intake? Alcohol? Exercise? Incidental activity?

You could be a late stall starter. Usually we talk about the three week stall but you can have your first one before three weeks or much later than that mark. We’re all different in how our bodies react to the changes we’re putting it through. But you have to remember stalls are a very normal part of this process. They’re just frustrating.

Are you keeping to your plan? Are you tracking your food, Protein & Fluid intake? Are your portion sizes small (about 1/3 cup)?

Give your medical team a call if the stall persists or if you have concerns about your plan.

Good luck.

It depends on how long you've actually stalled. I've had TONS of stalls on my journey. My first one was at three months out and lasted 23 days. My body just had to adjust itself. It wasn't anything that I did wrong, it just had to 'catch up' so to speak. My last stall was in mid January and last 27 days up until mid February. I've lost 7 pounds in the five weeks since my weight loss picked back up. Like I said, stalls happen. Sometimes we just have to adjust what we eat slightly such as watching our sodium intake, our carbs, our fat intake, our calories, our sugar, etc. Sometimes it's nothing we're doing wrong. Think about your diet and if you feel something needs to change slightly then try it. Or, try and ride it out. It'll pass. Maybe call your nutritionist for advice (it's helped me a few times).

Im eating small portions, my body won't let me eat anymore even if i wanted to. I have been eating more fruit then anything else, i keep craving fruit, it's weird i never liked fruit before. I've only stalled for a week.

A week is not bad at all. Stalls generally last 2-3 weeks. The fruit craving might actually be your body either wanting more Fluid or you're craving sugar or carbs because fruit tends to be higher in both sugar and carbs. Fruit isn't a bad snack, but just be aware of how much of you're eating. If the stall lasts longer than you're comfortable with try consulting your nutritionist.

I agree with Nova Luna - a stall can typically last up to three weeks. I think it's just your body's way of recalibrating before going on. I had several stalls along my journey. I wouldn't start worrying about it unless it gets to be a month or so.

We are in similar situations I'm a lil over 2 months started at 328 and now at 277 and im experiencing my first stall, its been 2 weeks. I heard it's normal so don't worry too much about it!

I stalled around that point too, then eventually dropped weight quickly after the stall broke. If you’re eating the right number of calories for weight loss then don’t worry, your body has to give in eventually. It can just be stubborn sometimes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
