Hit a Stall 8 weeks out

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I'm feeling a little frustrated this last week or two. I'm 53 days out and I've only lost 39 pounds. I was losing so fast, then BAM, I've been stuck at 267 since February 10th [emoji30] Please tell me it gets better!

As with any weight loss program, there is always going to be a stall. I have had several of them. I am close to 6 months out. Just keep doing what you need to do. All of a sudden, you will start seeing results again. I know its hard not to get frustrated, but don't give up. You got this!

My stalls lasted 2-3 weeks at a time. Talk about being frustrated.

First of all, 39 pounds in less than 2 months is fantastic!

Secondly, stalls are very, very common. Almost everybody experiences a few stalls along the way. It's basically just your body catching up with all the changes you're making. There's a lot of superstition around how to break a stall, but the truth is that all you can really do is stick with your plan and be patient, and you will start losing weight again. Stalls can sometimes last a few weeks, so don't worry if it takes a while longer for the weight loss to restart. You're doing great!

Stalls definitely suck. I had RNY on 12/17/2020 and lost 16 pounds in the first two weeks, then NOTHING for over a month. My weight has finally started moving again. I’ve lost 22 pounds and am 64 days post op, so when I read you’re discouraged that you’ve lost more weight in less time, it’s kind of a struggle in keeping perspective. We all want to lose weight fast, but this is one of those times we need patience. Good luck with your journey.

you'll hit stalls every once in awhile throughout your journey. They're a normal part of weight loss. They usually last 1-3 weeks. Just stick to your plan, and they'll eventually break. And 39 lbs in 53 days sounds pretty normal. I think that's more than I lost the first 53 days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
