I am 2 days post op and gained weight

I had VSG two days ago and I have put on 4 Pounds even though I am only drinking Water and Protein Shakes. Anyone else experience this right after surgery?

It's actually a good thing! Means you're not completely dehydrated One of these days, you'll see a great loss. It may be a few days, though. Just go with the flow

yep - the IV fluids. Some people gain as much as 10 lbs from it! Should be gone sometime within the first week.

I had gained 6lbs in the hospital. I literally peed out 10lbs in the 24 hours after surgery.

Just stay off the scale for a couple of weeks. Right after surgery your body is in recovery and there may be some crazy fluctuations. You will lose, don't worry!
