Waiting is such a pain!!!

Recommended Posts

So I am at the VERY beginning of my journey. I found a hospital that I like and they have been super helpful. I'm currently waiting for approval from my insurance company so I can schedule my appointment. I wish that the hospital was closer but it's still in my state and it's around a 4 hour drive. Has anyone in SC gone through Roper St Francis in Charleston for their surgery? How was your experience? How long did you have to wait to hear back about your insurance?

Waiting for anything right now is a pain lol.

I am in southern ca with Kaiser so I can’t answer your insurance questions. But I did have a lot of hoops I had to jump through (weight loss, classes, tests, psych eval, ekg, etc) and I finished in December..... yet ......I’m still waiting. Everything was shut down due to covid so you will find LOTS of people who are impatiently waiting and you will be in very good company 😅

Yeah I looked into going to California since I have family there but I decided to stay in state. I hope you get your surgery soon

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
