Compression shirts

Recommended Posts

Anybody here wear compression shirts? I’m looking into them for after I’m healed up and loosing weight. I’m on my pre-op diet and am already loosing my pants and my stomach is much softer/flabbier then at the beginning. So I know I am going to need something to keep this in check. What brands do you guys wear or what kind? I’ve seen some with additional support panels and then just the typical underarmor style. What would personally suggest from your experience?

I wear compression shirts daily now. I don't need them but they make me feel better with some of the extra skin I have in my midsection. I get them from Amazon, because something they don't tell you, they stretch out with use and washing so, you'll need to replace them every 6 months or so. Also, if you are still losing, don't spend a lot (like I did) on them, because the super expensive gear I bought, was too big within a few months.

Thanks for the reply. I’m a little over a year out now and wear compression shirts pretty much everyday. Keeps my body from clapping for me as I run or do any kinds of active movement. While I enjoy the encouragement of people clapping for me. Not a huge fan of my own flabby skin doing the clapping.
I ended up going with Under armor brand most of the time and now adidas. We have a outlet stores near us as well as shopping at TJMax for them. I started with 2x sizes and like you said they got to big pretty quick as I lost weight. In a year I lost 130lbs and went from needing 2x or bigger compression shirts to wearing L now. And at $20 a shirt that adds up quick. My issue at first was smell. But we soak them in vinegar before washing now and that helps a ton.

Are there compression garments that just cover your upper arms? My arm skin makes it impossible to wear anything but long sleeves. Even elbow length sleeves don’t work anymore. I’m hoping to get something that would prevent the skin from catching on my clothes without having to wear and entire shirt (too hot)

They make arm sleeves that are technically s designed to protect your skin from the sun but I bet they would work. Just search sun sleeves or UPF sleeves. Oops sorry didn’t realize this was the guys room but hopefully that helps anyways. Lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
