Anyone ever feel like you have food stuck? And you try to throw up but can’t? (Not me my friend). I’ve never had to throw up but once felt like it for 20 min.

I had the sleeve and yes, I felt like that many times in the first couple of weeks after surgery. It felt like food was stuck halfway down and I couldn't swallow it down or throw it up. It was a miserable feeling but thankfully, that stopped happening over time. If it remains a problem, I'd check in with the surgeon just to make sure everything is okay. Hope she feels better soon.

Some of us get what we call "the foamies." It's not vomiting, but it's mucus coming back up and sometimes you spit up because you ate too much or ate something dense that your stomach didn't like.

I used to before I had a RNY. I always kept a can of Coke in the fridge to take a couple of swallows to help the food go down. At a restaurant I would always order a Coke just incase. If would be miserable if I waited until it happened & I asked the server to bring me one.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
