Also look into a medication called maalox plus, you can get it off Amazon pretty cheap, I got some for myself and it really does help, you do have to wait between having say adcal D3 and then taking the maalox, but it does help, it's also good for heartburn and indigestion too

I had mine Tuesday December 1. I am struggling and need help! I can’t seem to get enough fluids and worried about dehydration! I take one small small sip and feels like it’s coming back and sitting which gives me extreme pain. I’ve walked and moved around and I’ve been popping gas x like tictac. Anyone have advise on how to get past this stage?????
I’ve already cried questioning my decision to have this! HELP PLEASE!

Try maalax, you can get it off Amazon fairly cheap, I find that helps, I also find rocking gently either side to side or forward and back helps, also rubbing gently across my stomach can sometimes ease the pain, I'm only on day 4 post op and still having some wind pains

At the first 3 days after my surgery I couldn’t drink enough also. My nutritionist said 1.5 oz every 30 minutes. But I would drink 1.5 oz in 2 hours or even more time. And I was ok. The doctors told me to check on my urine if it was very dark yellow then I should drink more. Ive passed that and now I can drink 1.5 oz every 30 minutes. Just hang on it will pass.

I have surgery for bypass Dec 7th. Scared to death.

You'll be fine, I was rather nervous until I had mine, I'm now on day 4 post op, just take each day as it comes, the wind pains are a real thing, there are ways to ease it, I'm still learning as I go on what I can do to ease mine

I am on liquids for a December 9 RNY surgery and lapband removal. It’s getting very real. Nerves are coming and going in waves. Just trying to stay busy. I can’t believe I’ll be on liquids until Christmas Eve. 😬

I am scheduled for gastric bypass on 12-9. I had my final pre-admission test today (Covid) and in disbelief that the date is almost here. The liver shrinking diet has not been the most fun but has been a good lesson in mind over matter.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
