  4. You'll be fine, I was rather nervous until I had mine, I'm now on day 4 post op, just take each day as it comes, the wind pains are a real thing, there are ways to ease it, I'm still learning as I go on what I can do to ease mine
  5. Try maalax, you can get it off amazon fairly cheap, I find that helps, I also find rocking gently either side to side or forward and back helps, also rubbing gently across my stomach can sometimes ease the pain, I'm only on day 4 post op and still having some wind pains
  6. Also look into a medication called maalox plus, you can get it off amazon pretty cheap, I got some for myself and it really does help, you do have to wait between having say adcal D3 and then taking the maalox, but it does help, it's also good for heartburn and indigestion too
  7. Peppermint tea was mentioned, or loperimide melts
  8. Drinking fluids and having a bit of honey every so often seems to be helping, but I do have a bit of a cough and occasionally have a stuffy nose, the nurse I spoke to regarding the cough thinks it could be just my body trying to get rid of any remaining anaesthetic, she wasn't sure as to my stuffy nose though, but I do tend to get hayfever like symptoms year round, a friend of mine who had surgery for a different matter had also had a sudden drop in her immune system and believes it could have happened due to her body going through a sudden change and that it could possibly be the same for me, I've never had surgery before, so I don't want to be taking any chances

  11. I just had mine on the 3rd, came home today, had the mini bypass and the incision sites (5 in total) are rather tender, but the gas is unbelievably painful, but I it does shift in small doses, it would probably shift more if I didn't have limited mobility
  12. I just came home today after finally having my mini bypass, my question is, has anyone else who has gone through weightloss surgery had a sudden drop in their immune system? I ask as I'm beginning to get a sore throat, but have honey to help with that
