I started my diet yesterday 11-2 and woke up this morning with severe head aches. How long do these last for? I'm scheduled for my surgery on the 16th and hope these don't last too long! What do you take to help? I stopped drinking about 2 months ago, at the same time i stopped smoking marijuana, cut coffee and pretty much any caffeine in hopes to stop this from happening. Not sure what else could be causing these

It may be just a coincidence, otherwise, assuming you have gone low carb or cut out pretty much all carbs it could be 'carb flu'. https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/side-effects

I agree. My first thought was "carb flu." Also, if you've cut out or cut down on your other vices, they could also give same/similar symptoms. While I don't have experience with it, caffeine "withdrawal" can come with a headache.

I had the "carb flu" about 2 or 3 days into my pre-op prep. I had a nagging headache, fatigue, even muscle soreness and a "brain fog." I think it lasted another 2 or 3 days, but once it passed I felt pretty good. "Clean" is the best way to put it.

Best of luck on your journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
