I had surgery on Sept. 21st. Thid past week I have been very constipated. I have taken Myrilax and had 2 hard BM. Do you all have any suggestions of what I can do to get a loose BM? I have been on a stall and I feel like I could lose 5lbs if I could have a good BM.

I have a cup of Smooth Move tea every night. I was also taking stool softeners, but stopped those a couple weeks ago.

Hope everything works out! 💩😬

Double your water/liquid intake. I had to go to 128-136 oz a day to cure my Constipation. Also, any tea with senna leaf in it is good.

At the beginning I ended up in the ER with a doctor in there with fingers actually physically plucking it out of me. It was quite painful and I would not wish it on anyone! I had tried everything but nothing worked even an enema at the ER!!! I now take senokot everyday...1 in the morning and 2 at night. I am pretty much regular now. I only had 1 other incident in the ER but thank God that time an enema worked. Try senokot as it's worked great for me ever since.

I apologize for being graphic about the ER incident!

The struggle is real. 4 months out, $$$ spent on digestive aids. This is what works for me ....
Fiber pills! I could not do the mixables but I can swallow a pill. Stool softener! A must. Water! 60+ oz. This combo is how the magic happens.

I was constipated too. I finally used Miralax - it works fast and doesn't give me cramps like traditional laxatives. You can mix it into your Protein Shake or Gatorade Zero.. You can not taste it. I still take it from time to time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
