Em_Evolves got a reaction from Jnfinney in Sleeve in your 20sI got my sleeve in August 19, 2020, at 26 years old. I am so glad I did it!!! I've always been overweight-obese. Finally at my high school weight. never been lower than 171 before. Did it because I started having health issues and I want to have children soon. Good luck!! The first month is the toughest but you'll do great!

Em_Evolves reacted to GradyCat in Incisional Scars and Creams?Bio Oil worked for me. My scars two years post-op just look like freckles, barely noticable.

Em_Evolves reacted to wannabelibrarian13 in Monthly Cycles 3 month post opI've had an IUD in for 5 years prior to having the surgery. I did not have a period in all that time. Now, 3 months post op I'm getting them randomly (and multiple spotting events in a month) and I really hate it. I have ruined underwear that doesn't fit me anymore which isn't a problem but when I gave in and bought new underwear I accidentally ruined that. I finally gave in and bought tampons and will have to buy panty liners to save my new undies. I had a post op visit today and the doctor just threw up her hands and was like, "We can never guess what it will do to you" and she was happy that I understood the random nature of the recovery process.
Good luck. I'm following this thread for anyone who has answers because I'm looking for them too!

Em_Evolves reacted to catwoman7 in Monthly Cycles 3 month post opweird hormone things are pretty common after surgery. Supposedly it's because estrogen is stored in fat, and when you have a rapid weight loss, a bunch of it gets released. Many women experience mood swings and screwed up menstrual cycles the first few months after surgery. But yes - it does stabilize after awhile.

Em_Evolves reacted to maslman in Incisional Scars and Creams?A neighbor of mine who got a tummy tuck swears by silicone tape. Haven't tried it myself, but my wife has been putting it on our youngest who got stiches on his forehead a week before I got my sleeve.

Em_Evolves got a reaction from GivinItMyALL in Incisional Scars and Creams?I too would like to know since it is only a 1 oz cream

Em_Evolves reacted to Arabesque in Incisional Scars and Creams?I swear by bio oil though I understand some people react to the fragrance in it. Vitamin E was always the go to for scarring. What ever you use just gently massage the scar when applying it. I did it twice a day.
Congrats on your surgery.

Em_Evolves reacted to GivinItMyALL in Incisional Scars and Creams?@Mr Alley Gator - how much of it do you go through? It looks huge on the screen, but is only one ounce, so I am curious how many jars it would take...? I tend to scar poorly, so I am interested in this thread as well.

Em_Evolves got a reaction from GivinItMyALL in Incisional Scars and Creams? My scars are looking lighter but they're still visible. I'm about 2 months post op and was wondering if anyone knows of a good scar cream? I've been using vitamin E.

Em_Evolves got a reaction from GreenTealael in Meatball Recipe of some sort?Help! I'm starting the maintenance diet this weekend and I'm really craving some good meatballs. I have a sodium limit of 2300 per day, and was looking for a recipe with either ground beef, chicken, or turkey. Thanks in advance!!

Em_Evolves reacted to GreenTealael in Allergy meds Post Op?Congratulations so far! Check with your instructions/Surgeon first of course, but *almost* all over-the-counter allergy medicines comes in a children's liquid form. The directions also indicate how to use by age or weight.
Good Luck ♥️
