Constipation

I had surgery on Sept. 21st. Thid past week I have been very constipated. I have taken Myrilax and had 2 hard BM. Do you all have any suggestions of what I can do to get a loose BM? I have been on a stall and I feel like I could lose 5lbs if I could have a good BM.

I have a cup of Smooth Move tea every night. I was also taking stool softeners, but stopped those a couple weeks ago.

Hope everything works out! ??

Smooth Move tea.

I used miralax. It's tasteless and produces a bm in 1-3 days! Decaf coffee also helped.

Smooth Move tea works the best for me, definitely try it if you haven't already.

Double your water/liquid intake. I had to go to 128-136 oz a day to cure my constipation. Also, any tea with senna leaf in it is good.

At the beginning I ended up in the ER with a doctor in there with fingers actually physically plucking it out of me. It was quite painful and I would not wish it on anyone! I had tried everything but nothing worked even an enema at the ER!!! I now take senokot everyday...1 in the morning and 2 at night. I am pretty much regular now. I only had 1 other incident in the ER but thank God that time an enema worked. Try senokot as it's worked great for me ever since.

I apologize for being graphic about the ER incident!

The struggle is real. 4 months out, $$$ spent on digestive aids. This is what works for me ....
fiber pills! I could not do the mixables but I can swallow a pill. Stool softener! A must. Water! 60+ oz. This combo is how the magic happens.

I was constipated too. I finally used Miralax - it works fast and doesn't give me cramps like traditional laxatives. You can mix it into your protein shake or Gatorade Zero.. You can not taste it. I still take it from time to time.
