Today is my 3 month surgiversary! I ended up in a stall the last week and a half or so, but I have taken it in stride knowing my body is just trying to catch up with a 60 pound weight loss in 3.5 months including the pre-op diet. I was really hoping to get to ONEderland for my 3 month, but I know it is in my near future.

Cool stuff since surgery:

I have been working out a ton, which I couldn’t do before. My fitness level has increased so much since the beginning. It takes a lot more to get my heart rate up, and my recovery is fast.

I weigh less than my husband for the first time in our 11 year relationship. For the record, he is 5-6 inches taller than me and his BMI since I met him has been 23-26.

This one is double edged. I have loaded 3 giant contractor trash bags with clothes that are too big. Unfortunately, this means I have nothing to wear, and I don’t want to buy much this far from my goal. I have gone from a plus size 20-22, to a regular women’s 14-16.

So happy I did this surgery to become healthy! Loving my new life!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
