This thread is everything!!!! My surgery is in 3 1/2 weeks, and I have to do 1 week pre op diet so I'm actively looking for Protein Shakes and liquids. Very happy to hear there's some good ones.

I only have to do 1 week. And I can have broth, Water (I'm doing Protein and electrolyte water), Protein Shakes, and protein smoothies. I bought A LOT so I have enough for the 1 week before surgery and the 2 weeks after. I can also have sugar free popsicles (I literally can't find any at Walmart, King Soopers, Safeway, or Family Dollar!!!!) And that's it. That was all I was told I can have. My dietician said it's because it's only a week, so no small meals or mushy foods or anything :(

Ok yep that aligns with mine. Look for this brand of sugar free popsicles to see if you can find them

Nope. Nothing there. I live in a major city, and we tried 3 Walmarts, 3 King Soopers, 2 Safeways, and 4 Family Dollars. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero.

Oh wow!!! Keep looking. Did you call your local Walmart to see if they have them ordered and if there is an expected delivery date? I know the supply chain sucks right now but maybe if they are ordered they can give you an approx time to watch for them?? Just a thought

No, actually, I didn't do that. I think I will. I really want a couple of boxes for when I'm sick of drinking everything and want to "chew" something.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
