Hi! My surgery date is September 9th. I'm so happy to be a part of one of these threads now! I'd love to have some surgery buddies too. ?

  • September 16th for me. Less than a month away now.

  • Sept 9 for me and Sept 23 for my husband! We are super excited to take this journey as we have tried everything you can think of over the past 10 years together. We have over 300lbs combined to loose

hows your liquid diet going? i don't have to do full liquid thankfully!

It. Sucks. Majorly. But after day 5 it gets easier. Days 1-4 were the WORST!!! I’m on day 6 now and have no issues lol

Edit to include that for some reason my username changed from Mobile to actual site. I’m me regardless ?

HIII!!! What are you scared about? Feeling any better about it?!

Hi I guess I am after finding this group. I just cant wait to be on the other side already. Lol

HI ALL!!!! My date is Sept 10th and I AM SO EXCITED. Just had a question maybe one of you can help me out with. My surgeon put me on a liquid diet for the past 2 weeks and I gotta say, the first 3 days were sooooo hard because of no coffee. Ive literally been having 3 protein shakes and chicken broth everyday. Soooo freaking tired of it...But they mentioned I can have sugar free popsicles. I haven't been able to find them in any grocery stores near me but there's an ice cream shop down my street that has no sugar added water ice sorbet. Now my questions is.....What is the difference between "sugar free" and "no sugar added" & can I have this sorbet lol

Mine is 22nd sept! So close!!

Hello my pre-op diet is one meal replacement and one protein supplement shake. My doctor says in between if I really get hungry I can have a salad.
I am having revision from sleeve to bypass on September 18 (due to GERD). I start the liquid diet tomorrow. It doesn’t feel real just yet.
Surgery is tomorrow!!!!! Eek! So ready for this .. the pre op diet has been insane!!!!!

No sugar added means that there is naturally occurring sugars like from fruit. You would have to check the ingredient label to see what the sugar comes from and then the nutritional analysis to see the carb content to see if it could be allowed on your pre-op diet.
