Hi! My surgery date is September 9th. I'm so happy to be a part of one of these threads now! I'd love to have some surgery buddies too. ?

  • September 16th for me. Less than a month away now.

  • Sept 9 for me and Sept 23 for my husband! We are super excited to take this journey as we have tried everything you can think of over the past 10 years together. We have over 300lbs combined to loose

Hey! Mines is September 10th

Are you ready for tomorrow!?!?! ;)

Too all those now on their pre-op diets...I am on Day 17 of my pre-op diet. You read that correctly, Day 17. I have to do a 28 day liver shrinking diet. 4 protein shakes, 1 lean and green meal, and 1 serving of sugar free jell-o. No matter what your pre-op diet, it gets better! The first 3 days were tough, but now I am smooth sailing through it!
11 days to go for me! Pre-op surgeon visit this Friday and medical clearance with my primary on Monday.

I have today and 4 more days to go on my liquid diet. This is no fun. LOL> I'm soooooo tired of sweet stuff. The broth is my only saving grace and the Popsicles to chew on. I can and will complete this though!! :) You are all doing great. Less then a week to a new beginning!

Me too! Surgery is on Monday?

Hi everyone!! I’m having a conversion done from a sleeve to bypass and scheduled on 9/23. Didn’t feel real until I had my final follow-up appointment yesterday!

I am having revision from sleeve to bypass on September 18 (due to GERD). I start the liquid diet tomorrow. It doesn’t feel real just yet.

Wow same! I had my sleeve in 2017 and due to GERD I am now scheduled for a bypass on 9/23. It really didn’t feel real at all for me until my final follow up yesterday which is when I got freaked out.

Just had my surgery! Recovering and walking and sipping water. Wonder how many other folks are in the first week of recovery?

Sept 22 anyone else ? Would love a friend ...pm me
I'm on the 22nd also , over here in new zealand , paid my deposit today and on day 4 of a 2 week liquid diet!

I had my sleeve in August 2018. I am so ready for the GERD to get better! It feels real now that I'm a couple of days into the liquid pre-surgery diet. Odd that my GERD hasn't been too bad on this part as it was really bad pretty much right away after the initial surgery. Happy to be a surgery buddy!

I found pickle pops to be SUPER helpful to curb my sweet cravings. I found a small pack of them at the store and just ordered big box for post-surgery.

Whoops, that should have been, to cut through the sweets overload.

Well, I am a week out and I can tell you fellow bubbly guts folks that my GERD is GONE. Like, zero!
