I'm one week post op and feeling good and off all pain meds and finally pooped. 10 pounds down and I feel like I'm onto the next level. My question is what are people keeping track of and how are they doing that? Are you counting calories, measuring food, Water, Protein, and/or fitness? Is there an app you like best to do all this?

I count all of that, but for the first few months, I just counted Water, Protein, and I weighed/measured food (I still do all that -- but after about the year mark, I started counting calories and fitness, too).

I use sparkpeople, but that's an old one that most bariatric patients don't use anymore - most use something like My Fitness Pal. I never switched over because I've been using sparkpeople for several years, so all my records are in it from way back (even before I had WLS). If I was just starting today, though, I'd probably use a phone app like My Fitness Pal.

I track all of that in an app called Baritastic. It was free. I track all my food, Water, drinks, and exercise. I haven't used it for anything else - but I know it has other trackers. I started when I was doing the 6 months pre-op with the nutritionist, just to get into the habit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
