My only regret is that I can't chug Water anymore lol. I miss getting a gallon down in like... five hours. I struggle to get 60 ounces in some days, but it's definitely getting easier.

Also, same as everyone else, I regret not getting it done sooner, even with my complications. :)

No regrets at all (except for not having worked up to red meat yet)! 50 lbs down in less than three months and I haven't been this low for over 40 years or more.

Oddly I'm super worried about this. I drink a ton a Water and have dry mouth. I feel like I'll lose my mind!

I'm only one day further out than you! But I will tell you today was a LOT better. The doctor's office told me to forget about the Protein for now and just concentrate on getting the Clear Liquids in. I can't stand the taste of artificial sweeteners, so crystal light does not work for me, and the Water gets pretty old. I have found some success rotating Water, herbal tea with a little stevia, sugar free pops, and chicken Bone Broth. I also feel less hungry (or whatever that feeling in my stomach is), maybe because I am better hydrated, and maybe because when they cut out most of my stomach you stop producing the hunger hormone. Who knows. However, I did want to rip my husbands plate away when he made himself some toast....

😂😂😂😂😂😂@ Rip my husband's plate away. I understand

I went in with the mindset that my "new stomach" will come with special instructions which I will follow to the letter. This is my easy excuse to get out of peer pressure situations when drinks and treats are going around.

Sure I have a bad day here and there, it happens to all of us. I try to keep the mistakes small.

Whenever I feel that I'm about to go astray, I tell myself that I didn't have this surgery only to revert back to my old habits once again. I reflect on my recent accomplishments and all is well!

Only a week post op, and I don't regret it but I would contemplate murder for something to chew on with actual flavor lol.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
