My surgery is finally here!!!! I'm having it February 12th. I started this process June 2019. It has been a hard road for me. It's pretty much consumed my life. I'm ready to start the work but the past 2 weeks I've been very anxious and stressed. My husband says he supports me 100% but the things he says are not supportive at all. I've heard the your family's support is important. Any advice on how to deal with this?

Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m from Denmark and have GP the 24. February in Athens. I’m going alone and I am seeking others who will have surgery around the same time.

I'm having bypass. I'm all prepped and soooo ready. Not nervous just very excited to finally start the real work. My surgery is in the morning. Not sure of our time difference. I'm in North Carolina USA. I'll have almost 2 weeks in when you have yours. I will keep you posted 😄

Had my miniGBS yesterday morning. I wasn’t prepare for the level of nausea and pain. Also very dizzy, so I didn’t walk at all yesterday. Feeling more myself this morning. Mouth is insanely dry, but can only drink Water 2oz at a time, 15-20 minute apart.

I don’t want to scare anybody, just wants you to know that if you do get the same symptoms, they won’t last too long.

Hey all. So there is another thread for February 2020 surgeries with a bunch of folks posting their dates and updates after surgery that I have been on but I just found this one. I am scheduled for feb 19th. On my 10 day pre-op diet now. I’m so excited and ready to do this! Those that have already gone, how are you doing? I’m so excited and ready to do this!!

Hey! Glad you are doing ok. Did they give you anything for the nausea prior to the surgery?

Sounds rough!!! But it's nice to have a heads up. I hope the worst is behind you!

Hi all! I just had my sleeve done this past Wednesday, 2/12. I’m so grateful that I actually decided to go through with this! I came home Thursday and other then some nausea and a little bit of pain, I’m doing really well! Although trying to get 64 oz of the liquids down is definitely a challenge :) Two of my pre-op nurses had the sleeve and it was a very positive experience for them both. They were able to answer a lot of my questions, put my mind at ease prior to surgery. While in post-op, I was able to get up and start walking! My biggest concern right now is staying hydrated for the week. I wish all of you the best with your upcoming surgeries!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
