@Puffy-no-more I have to order certain products form Protifoods.com and start that 2 weeks prior to surgery. Hope it tastes okay!

Okay that's neat. I'm just doing alot of research to figure out what I'm going to do for post op with the shakes and broths and powders and best brands and all that. There's so much out there.

I’m scheduled for
February 14th! I’m getting the sleeve, but still thinking about RNY. I don’t have much time left
To decide!

On one hand I'm glad I'm not alone with the indecision, on the other I'm sorry it's a hard decision for you too. Good luck with your decision process!

New surgery date for me 2/21. I got a call today saying there was a conflict in scheduling at the facility I'm having surgery done 🤷‍♂️ Kind of annoyed because I have an appointment with my primary doctor later today for clearance that I guess i'll have to reschedule..

Aww I’m so sorry to hear this.

you’re going to hate me for saying this, but there’s probably a reason why things had to be rescheduled. Things tend to happen for a reason (I think). And this could mean anything from something being wrong at the clinic, to something being wrong with the doctor that operating..who knows.

I kind of settled into the idea of it pretty quickly surprisingly, mostly because I haven’t over planned just yet.. so I guess we can say they caught me at a good time 😂

Nope I definitely totally agree, everything happens for a reason. I was more bothered that I had to reschedule with my primary doc only hours before my appointment than anything else. Weird right? But I guess that serves as confirmation that it was meant to be this way.

That is awful!! Is there an appeal process? A 2 pound weight gain could be anything... what you are wearing, sodium, menstrual cycle, digestive issues, holidays. So unfair.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
