Hair is feeling very coarse ?

Recommended Posts

Ok I have only shed some hair, I'm 2 months post op, and I have notice my hair feels dry and coarse?

Also my skin always itches and I think it's because of dry skin ?

Anybody else?

Hope you don’t mind if I suggest some things that helps me with that. I take Natures way Alive! hair skin & nails gummies with 300mg collagen. I also take omegas, my favorite is hero nutritionals Omega 3 with chia seed (also gummies) and my Multivitamin is Garden of Life mykind organics Whole Foods Gummy drops (it’s actually a prenatal Vitamin which is common in bariatric patients) I was going to switch to a one a day tablet but can’t find any without added iodine and the whole food based nutrition absorbs better. (I get them from vitacost.com)

I find certain Vitamins help a lot with dry hair and skin. Also any itching or irritated skin I recommend Tamanu oil, even for blemishes.

Make you're hitting your daily Protein goals and you might consider taking Biotin for hail and nails

Are you hitting your daily Protein targets?
Yes, I eat meat mostly and I like to have a Protein Shake at night

I was sleeved in Match 2018. I started losing hair at 6 months out and am still losing it. It is so bad that my scalp would sunburn over this past summer.

My dietician said that Hair loss is due to the very low calorie diet we are on i the beginning.

I had to revise to a bypass 3 weeks ago and am nervous about having even more hair loss. Protein is very important but I have hit protein goals since first surgery. I have been taking a good Biotin supplement from the start. This time I am using a Shampoo that is said to stop the production of dht. I have my fingers crossed that it will at least help.

I also get cold easier than I did pre op. I have heard the same from many bariatric surgery patients.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
