Hi there. I had by Sleeve done 11/5/19 with no complications until the last week. I am unable to hold down anything dairy, including Protein Shakes that I drank prior to surgery. Even soft scrambled egg makes me vomit !
I have a pretty good case of gastritis, feel like I’m drowning in phlegm if I invest anything fuller than broth.
Anyone else have this issue ?

May I suggest you use almond or coconut milk to make your shakes with?

I have never been a big dairy guy so but I tossed and still have days i can not eat - One thing i use to fill the big 4oz stomach and get it going is oatmeal, Not the best in terms of healthyness but two table spoons of oatmeal fills up the stomach, gives me some fuel and does the job, - I also puree foods like baby food when everything is being tossed back up, Small little amounts over a long period of time

I also Hate Water, hate Protein Drinks,

it's not uncommon to not be able to tolerate eggs in the first few weeks or months after surgery - but most people eventually can handle them again. Also, becoming lactose intolerant after surgery is also not uncommon. You'll need to find a Protein Shake that isn't dairy-based and come up with some milk alternatives. Fortunately, there are a lot of non-dairy options on the market these days...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
