How Long is too Long for a Stall?

Recommended Posts

I’ve been the exact same weight for the last 5 weeks? I’m about 6 months out and I’m down only 46 lbs, my HW 298 SW 282, I started working out, and believe I’m losing inches, but I’m so discouraged at my progress.

Just keep going. I had a brief stall and was working out 5 days a week and still couldn't budge the scale...but one day it just ended lol. Keep working out and eating well and it'll be fine.

measure to find out for certain. Physically being smaller is sometimes much more important than a number on the scale...

(I just lost 6 lbs of Water weight in 2 days but my measurements are the same 😒 so it doesn't make one bit of difference in the long run, but those inches are usually fat lbs being shed 🙌)

I've been the same weight (give or take a pound) for the last 4 weeks, but in that time I've also moved in a belt notch and a watch notch, so I know there's more to what's happening with my weight loss. I work out almost every day and watch what I eat.

Be patient and keep with your routine. If there's other reasons that you're not losing, it's time to be honest with yourself as to why this may be happening.

Good luck

My scale has been stalled out for a couple of weeks now. Though I know it happens, and this is a normal part of the process, it’s annoying.

A stall is great time to re-evaluate your eating and activity. I’m checking in with myself by logging my food. And I’m going to hide my scale, because I attach too much emotion to what it says

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
