I initially took 3 weeks off from work but because of a bacterial infection I'm off for another week till it clears up. As for chores ar home, after day 3 i was doing light projects that i never get a chance to do while working. Every day since day 3 i work on something and also either get on the treadmill or go for a walk for over an hour daily.

I think it helps you to recover quicker if you stay active.

I took three weeks off (I had a desk job - I'm now retired), but I could have gone back after two.

I took off 12 days but could have easily went back after a week. I have a desk job but I'm on my feet most of the day.

I have a desk job also and spend a lot of time on my feet. But honestly I think I could go back in two weeks too.

lol..not sure if it is strength and/or the fact that 1) I was under a huge deadline as well as 2) It helped me to stop thinking "when will this gas pain go away" after all other measures to rid myself of gas had been exhausted ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
