shanshan got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Food addictI enjoy food as well if not i wouldn't be here, well atleast you know you have an addiction. Maybe with the tool you can break that addiction!? I'm sure alot of people who had weight loss surgery or plan to actually gain weight (like myself) before surgery. Whatever you chose to do good luck!!!!

shanshan reacted to chula313 in OK guys maybe I’m just pessimistic (I stress maybe) but am I the only one who has found this surgery to be a complete B*TCH?!My experience was pretty horrible as well and my surgeon gave me 2 days of pain meds to take home I've had to go to urgent care twice and the e.r once I'm disgusted with the quality of my aftercare I'm 2 weeks post op and I still wish I didnt do this

I woke up with the most horrific pain I had ever felt in my life. I was sobbing and they kept pumping fentanyl in me to no avail. Then after 2 hours it randomly disappeared. I also had zero gas pain, which is unusual I think. But then I developed an ulcer a week out and that pain was almost equally as bad and lasted like 8 weeks. People don't talk about those things usually. But it gets better, you live.

Id say it was more painful than my c section recovery. I was crying and could hardly keep my eyes open and talk because of the pain was so bad. My husband kept saying to the nurse is this normal is she ok. No one told me all the BS. I didnt ask more questions i didnt know so much. The Docter said its minimally invasive surgery recovery goes by in a flash. I call BS! I regret everyday i had this surgery done. I hope to be one of the people on here that finally get to there goal and say it was the best thing they ever did. My fingers are crossed!

I know the hospital did a poor job of pain management and many other things for my stay. My pain threshold is very high but when they do a poor job of managing the pain from the onset, it becomes very difficult to ever get in front of it. I didn't have much relief until day 3.

shanshan reacted to Brent701 in Gained 6lbs overnightBy 3 years the new habits I have formed are enough to compensate for the tool losing its effectiveness. You are implying its just going to revert back to what it was just because the tool loses its effectiveness. I know better than to ever eat anywhere near what I used to. This is a difficult discussion to have because you are at goal weight and proven and I am not.
