LOL, unless you're on the pre-op liquid diet, or post op lower stages or are on full liquids... ;)

See, there's always free cheese in a trap.

I agree with the poster who suggested spiralized vegetables. Spiralize some zucchini (or buy some already spiralized) and saute it until it's al dente. Then eat it just like you would noodles.

OR just eat the meat and the sauce in a bowl.

I LOVE spiralized zucchini. It cooks up fast, is delicious, and functions the same as “real” Pasta.

Had spaghetti squash. Meh. It works, but to me there was something "off" about having it with my spaghetti sauce. Spiralized zucchini...Much better!

Now, I'm really curious about the Shirataki Noodles. @ms.sss Have you tried them? How are they? Taste? Texture?

Yes, I eat them quite often. They have the consistency of al dente-like rice noodles. They are pretty tasteless on their own, they take on a bit of the flavour of whatever you add to them. I've eaten them with sauces on top, in Soups, part of salads, etc. They are VERY filling.

Now that I am in maintenance I do have spaghetti on occasion. Spaghetti squash is a great alternative if you are in weight loss phase.

Oh I heart all of these subs. Truly don't miss Pasta anymore because of them. :) I also love any veggie in spirals:

broccoli

cauliflower

kohlrabi

turnip

daikon

rutabaga

all the squashes

beets

carrots

english cucumber

I feel like Bubba Gump! ;) On love Shirataki noodles and shirataki rice (especially the rice when mixed with caulirice).

Do you spiral them yourself? If so what's good to use?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
