I was allowed yogurt, but some surgeons insist on Clear Liquids only. Jello would be considered a clear liquid

I was also allowed yogurt. The first 2 weeks of my plan were full liquids.

I was allowed yogurt and low fat cream Soups (cream of mushroom etc) but I had to strain the Soup to get the chunky pieces out.

Why? Mainly because it's your doctor's orders for you. It's what he/she prefers for your best outcome.

Many/Most docs prefer clear liquids for the first week; then advance to full liquids, etc. Compared to Jello, tea and broth, yogurt is more solid, more dense...and is considered a full liquid (or even a soft food, depending on what's in it). So, just follow your doctor's orders for a few more days at this stage. Why chance it?

There is not a single set of rules that are the same. Every doctor seems to have a different set, so? Mine didn't allow Jello. No jello, no pudding. I could have yogurt if it was drinkable. And I could have all sorts of fattening Soups, as long as they were blended. *shrugs*

I wasnt aloud to have yogurt my doc said not till after the first month but i did anyways that was the only way i was able to get Protein in at that point. I called my docter at 2 weeks and said im not getting enough protein like literally 12g the whole day and i refuse to drink another Protein Drink and i told them i put myself on protein yogurt i was getting over 30g with just that and the doc said if it didnt hurt and i was still losing then great... ( not saying u should go rouge like i did ) best of luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
