Nah, I am revision. I remember my pre-op diet. It went by fast and at first it was hard! We got this and it's all about moving forward!

So true. I'm just dreading it because my hubby's birthday and then our wedding anniversary are going to be in the middle of my preop diet lmao

I'm tentatively scheduled for RNY on July 2, so I'll be quietly lurking in the shadows on this group. I can be like the a very distant cousin in your little family LOL

I'm a teacher, so my bariatric team knew that I wanted a summer surgery. I'll be done with all of my requirements Monday April 29, so I'm a little ahead of the game.

Good luck to us all!

Welcome to our little thread!!! I know how you're feeling. I'm terrified but soooo excited. I thought June wouldn't get here fast enough but it seems like the days are flying by now lol. I started to slowly buy stuff for my preop and post OP diet. What kind of preop diet are you having to do?

Thank you!

Thats a good idea, I should start prepping to. I also plan on clearing all of my cupboards out!

My private surgeon (I’m in the UK), is putting me on ‘the milk diet’ for 2 weeks prior to surgery.

It will, it will, I am 73 , a gastric bypass of less than a year, have lost 130 pounds from my highest weight, 97 pounds since surgery last September 5th. And I would have sworn it would never happen, I just couldn't diet and keep it off, Lord a Mercy, I did try, should have been awarded an Effort Trophy. But I am sure doing it now, don't even look like me anymore since I lost my round moon face. But I will be something special when I am through, no big thing if I start resembling my dead relatives, they are in no state to complain.
So June will be the Wonder month for you all, and we will all cheer you on!

Thank you :) I think I’m going to need you all xx

So you Seattle Lady and your hubby, Seahawk Man, are both doing well, living a better, smoother smaller life now. Bet you've got almost enough energy to go into your 2nd set of teenager years!💑

Not, we have both lived better over the last 4 years. However, we have never gotten to the goals we have select. My GERD is really an issue. He has other issues. Yes we have had some degree of success. It's not over for this phase of healthy living.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
