Just going through the initial tests.

I had the lap band for almost 10 years and it quit working the last 4 years with big problems. The tubing was rubbing the vagus nerve and eventually led to A-flutter. Now I'm pursuing the sleeve. I am struggling to not gain all of the weight. I'm using a Fitbit and My Fitness Pal. I have put on a lot of weight, and all I want is the freedom of movement back. Interested in hearing any feedback.

Try a diet similar to the liver shrinking pre-op diet you will be on for the VSG.

I was on 4.5oz lean Protein and 1-2 cups of vegetables OR a Premier Protein shake 4x a day. No more than 3 servings of fruit or yogurt per day. <50gr carbs daily.

After 3 days, I no longer felt hungry all the time and I started losing weight fairly quickly.

I'm continuing my lap band meals, Protein, protein. protein. I can't use the powder ones they make me ill and crampy. I've discovered Boost high Protein Drink and love it so I'm using it. I can use plant Protein Powder or vegan protein. Just waiting for the tests to be done. Thanks for the advice.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
