Just curious about this upper stomach pain. I am 2 on days post op and during the procedure I guess they found a hernia that they repaired while I was under and I am wondering if anyone else who had a hernia repaired has this pain. I am trying to drink my liquids and it just is painful trying to get fluids in. It feels like the top of my stomach is going to pop. It gets very painful with a stabbing pain. I have made myself burp and walked but I can't seem to get the liquids down without it acting up. Anyone else have this and have any tips? I also came home with a med pump that of course goes in where my bra would be so I even took that off thinking that was the problem but nope.

Thanks:) in advance

I am new to this site. Hello everyone! I just had a Gastric Sleeve on Tuesday, June 4. I am experiencing the exact same as Alwzia8. I have only been able to take in 22 oz Water and 1 1/3 Protein Drinks. I know that is normal but not nearly what I should be doing. Anyone have any good tips on how I can get on track better with what I should?

Well, I got mine done on Wednesday...no hernias. But I have had really bad acid reflux since then. It hurt s when I drink Water. But I've been able to get most of it down. Is it possible you're experiencing reflux? I get some antacids.

Thanks for your response stitches78! I think I was trying to take drinks that were too big. No pain really at all now. How are you feeling?

Sorry you're having that trouble. I was one of the lucky ones that had no trouble. But I do know how important it is that you stay hydrated, so keep sipping, sipping, sipping all day long.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
