So I had the sleeve done a week ago and I have been struggling to drink the Protein waters my surgeon prescribed. I’m supposed to have 2x 450ml bottles a day which will give me 60g protein.

Has anyone else had this issue?

From reading the forums it seems like a lot of people have trouble getting down the Protein Drinks, but I never had any problem. I used the GNC Lean shakes pre-made Protein drinks.

I do have trouble, had my sleeve done on 3/20. Yesterday I started making in protein and it worked. I start my day with a 16 oz Water and I freeze the protein in ice trays that equal up to 80 grams. I eat the and ice all day long. It worked but today is just the second day I'm doing it. Hope that helps

It takes time to work up to that goal beauties! If you can get there immediately that id pretty amazing 👑 A lot of people can not, i couldn't until about 1 month post op. Increase a little more day by day and don't give up!

Congratulations on everyone who just made it through surgery safely 💜

Try different brands of Protein - some people tolerate some better than others - sometimes its the taste, sometimes the ingredients. If s/he wants you to have 60g of protein drinks a day, it probably doesn't matter what Protein Drink you are using, but check with the office.

HI There

I had surgery on 3/5/19. Everything has gone well, the only thing they recommended at my 2 week appt was increasing my Water intake. The last 3 days I have had zero energy! Did you experience this?

I haven’t had any energy either. I can hardly stand for 5 mins without wanting to faint. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon. I’m going to see if he can suggest something

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
