The 'old you' could not have been that happy, or you wouldn't have had the surgery.

However, any radical change is a shock to the system, so I'm sending you a virtual hug. xx

I don't notice a difference when I look in the mirror but I do notice a difference when I look at photos week over week.

Its a mind game Just recently i can see the difference, Took me 6 months - I can look at a picture of before and after That i clearly see but the mirror? Mind games. Its all a game and common - But one thing i do know, I feel way better so not really concerned with this mind game

I still see the old me when I look in the mirror. It takes a photo to make me see the new me.

Wow you are going through the weightloss depression bad. I hope there is someone IRL you can talk to you. You are the same you with some minor adjustments. Have you been doing to group or anything. I am so sorry you're feeling this way.

I didn’t recognize myself in a photo at work. After asking myself “who the hell is that?”, it clicked. The mind definitely takes longer to catch up...

I myself see it, and the numbers prove it, but I don't seem to understand why other people don't see it, must be some kind of psychological tick. And humans are very jealous creatures lol.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
