Having a hard time keeping my Vitamins down. I take the chewable BariActiv Iron and Multi-Vitamin supplements mid morning after my snack (I take the Calcium by itself later in the day with no issues). I’ve thrown them up 3 times so far this week. I don’t feel nauseous at all. Just get the urge to vomit about a minute after taking them and then I feel fine once I’ve done the deed. I’m 8 days post op and still on liquids. Anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on keeping those suckers down?

I like the chewable BariatricAdvantage Vitamins. Might try these or a different brand. That could help.

I take ProCare Health bariatric Multivitamin with 45 mg Iron chewable. I'm not a big fan of the grittiness, but I found eating a sugarfree popsicle with it helps get it down. I do love that it has everything except the Calcium in it and it is a one a day! You could try eating it with pudding or applesauce, something to coat the stomach might help.

I just tried this one yesterday but not the chewable and was nauseous and vomitted half the day-- empty stomach and all that Iron I hope was the cause.. I ordered a few bottles and will try one later on in the day next time.

I Barfed every form of edible Vitamin made. Just the thought of taking them made me queasy. I switched to Tespo. Its a machine that mixes up dry vitamin powder with Water into a tang flavored vitamin shot. Here’s is a link, check it out https://gettespo.com/

I use a delicious one from Vitamin Shoppe. Bariatric something. Tastes like flintstones. You can also try Patches. I might just because after my conversion I’ll need Iron and Calcium. I’m bad at taking pills several times a day. Once is all I can manage.

I’m 2 weeks post op, I take opurity capsules. I am suppose to take two a day, however I can only take 1 and that 1 makes me feel like crap. My stomach starts hurting and I get really nauseous. I am not good with liquids or chewable, never have been. Every time I try any liquid or chewable medicine I throw it up immidiatly. What other type of Vitamins can I have? Please help.

Tespo saves me. I threw em all up too. I gave up trying then a friend told me about Tespo. Bariaxtric Vitamins automatically mixed by the machine and you drink them from a shot glass.

I also have an issue with keeping Vitamins down, even before I was sleeved. I spoke to my surgeons PA about it because I couldn't keep any of the recommended brands down. She recommended Whole Foods Prenatal, and it has been great, it doesn't upset my stomach at all.

I have the same Vitamins and they make me violently dry heave the second they hit my stomach. I did not Consult with my surgeon about this but ended up switching to Patches and Flintstones vitamins just to cover my bases. The Calcium doesn’t bother me at all.

I am prepping for surgery in May but I have already started on Vitamins to make sure I have no deficiency and I am using the Bariatric Bundle 2 Patches from Patch MD. I can tell a difference using them, have more energy and just feel better all together.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
