I just thank goodness I have really thick hair. There's a huge handful of hair on the bathroom floor every single day! I try to only wash it twice a week, I use good quality Shampoo and conditioner and never, ever blow dry or use flat irons. I do hope it stops soon, though.

I did have thick hair until now. I just hope this slows down or stops before I am bald!

Can't be sure I'm even losing any, I'm a natural strawberry nlonde, red-gold hair, we have the fewest hairs per square inch in the first place. I keep my hair in a pixie- modified shag, I am not a fussy-hair person, rather gently slap on some makeup and face the world bravely. I do want glam shots when I get closer to 200 but that's still over half a hundred away. So I keep on keeping on, trust in God's Love and deal with everything I'm given or granted. I am honest to the best of my abilities, Frustr8 is just what you suspect, a an still obese lady trying her best to lose her fluffy fat and so the inner me can shine out for all. I am your best friend but rile me once too many and I can make a fearsome enemy if necessary. Evil looks and a sharp tongue, I grew and deserve even one of my thin red hairs. So world, better treat me better than you have, I roll over for no one, no time, not anymore! Frustr8 Power forever or until I stop breathing!

I had Hair loss up until 11 months, but I had thick hair to begin with and I feel like it actually improved after the LOSS process stopped and I kept getting healthier. I'm over a year post op now.

My Hair loss started like 2 weeks after surgery! I'm a little over 3 months now and it is like cobwebs of hair coming out in the shower. Ugh. I was told around 6 months+ the hormones will start evening out and all that, but everyone is different. I'm taking a keratin supplement for the heck of it but that does nothing. I also have insane explosive acne now and spotting even though I have an IUD and haven't had a period in 5 years. I can't wait for my estrogen, etc, to chillllll.

It's been one year since my surgery and though I think my Hair loss had finally stopped, I have not begun growing hair back. My hair is still sparse and completely thinned out. I used to wreck pony tail holders, now I barely have enough hair for one. I can't wait to see if my hair comes back. I've accepted the loss if it doesn't and will look into hair pieces and extensions. :)

I read a recommendation from another surgeon to take Biotin 10,000 mcg to help prevent Hair loss. I started this 2 weeks after surgery when I started the other Vitamins, I'll let you know if it works. Might just be snake oil, but it can't hurt anything to try.

I started to double up on the Vitamins.

In the am - multi for her / hair-nail / prenatal.

In the pm - a different Multi / Calcium

It's been 2 weeks since I started this and using Shampoo with Biotin / once every 3 days at night spray vit. E

I see less hair in the drain shower and on the brush. But no regrowth yet. Passing on what I see or not see LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
